CULTURAL ROUTE

This cultutal route illustrates how the heritage of the different countries and cultures of Europe contribute to a shared and living cultural heritage which forms the focus of the Council of Europe’s cultural routes initiative. While many of the routes listed in The Council of Europe's catalogue are of an architectural or historically themed nature, there is also the inclusion of dissonant heritage, with such examples as the ATRIUM (Architecture of Totalitarian Regimes of the 20th Century In Europe's Urban Memory route) and the Iron Curtain Trail, as well as a European Cemeteries route.
